Our investment programme

During the year: 

• Loft insulation was upgraded in 749 individual homes and a further 10 blocks of flats; 

• Installed cavity wall insulation in 123 homes; 

• Replaced 1,084 windows; 

• Completed 1,356 boiler upgrades in our homes; and 

• Replaced night storage heaters in 331 homes. 

To help ensure we continue providing safe, high-quality homes, we regularly review our properties and invest in those that best meet our customers' needs. In a very small number of cases, we may decide to sell a property as part of this process.

This affects only a small number of homes, and any customers involved are supported throughout, with dedicated guidance and assistance every step of the way to find a suitable alternative home that meets their individual needs.

Funds from these sales are reinvested into maintaining existing homes and delivering new affordable homes, helping us provide quality housing for current and future customers. You can read more about this here.

The homes we build are designed to be energy-efficient from the start.

Over 99% of the new homes we built this year have an Energy Performance Certificate rating of B or higher, with the rest rated C.
