Your local service
Our local teams are part of the communities they serve, so they understand what matters most to you.
This year we carried out over 6,000 neighbourhood inspections and adapted the support we offer, like help with anti-social behaviour and financial wellbeing, to reflect what each community needs.
We’ve also improved the digital tools our teams use so they can make updates and log repairs in real time, making estate inspections and health and safety checks more effective. We’ve got more improvements planned next year to make home visits even smoother.

We all want to live in safe, peaceful communities. That’s why we regularly visit your neighbourhood to carry out safety checks and inspections.

Aster in the community
This year 335 customers carried out a ‘mutual exchange’, which gives customers the option of swapping their home with another social housing customer, helping them move to a home that better meets their needs without waiting for a home to become available through the housing register.
You’ve told us the process can sometimes be affected by delays, so we’re investing in changes, including carrying out more thorough inspections of homes before mutual exchanges take place, to make the process as quick and easy for you as possible.
